Nearly seven in 10 of us shop over Thanksgiving weekend, either on Turkey Day itself, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, or Cyber Monday, according to the National Retail Federation. And some people barely wait until the dishes are done to start Christmas shopping: 17% of Americans surveyed in the research group PwC’s 2019 holiday outlook say they plan to stock up on gifts in stores on Thanksgiving itself.
