How to Make a Driftwood Wreath

Craft your own driftwood wreath to lend your front door a bit of rustic, beach charm.

Materials

  • Driftwood pieces
  • Circular foam wreath
  • Burlap ribbon
  • Hot glue gun
  • 18-gauge floral wire
  • Wire cutters
  • Scissors

Tip: We used a low-temp glue gun and a high-temp hot glue gun for this project.

How-To

  1. Using the low-temp hot glue gun, apply a line of glue to the wreath to adhere burlap to wreath. Wrap foam wreath with burlap until completely covered. Hot glue the last bit of burlap to the wreath to secure.
  2. Take two 18-gauge wires. Twist together to make a longer wire. Create a loop and tie around the wreath to hang.
  3. Glue driftwood to wreath with the high-temp hot glue gun. Using the hot glue gun, add a base layer of driftwood pieces. Fill in with extra pieces as needed.
