Light up the Night Under the Stars
After eyeing her sister Jodie Kammerer's outdoor set up, Julie Lancia of The Design Twins was seeking a simple solution to brighten her own backyard and transform her seating area into a functional space after dark. She devised a clever DIY lighting project using some Edison Bulb String Lights strung from poles inserted into outdoor umbrella stands. For even more ambience, she arranged a trio of Crossbar Metal Lanterns with Flameless LED Pillar Candles along her tabletop.

Optimize an Entryway
An entryway is an opportunity to welcome visitors to your home; Lindsay Hines from Whimsy Girl knew she wanted to dress hers up while keeping it functional. She found the perfect piece in the Barrow Entryway Bench, and completed the whole look for under $300. She softened the seating with the textures of a Faux Leather Pillow and Abstract Diamond Shag Pillow, and added Black Metal Lanterns for a cozy vibe.

Grow Better, Together
Used to the bustle of balancing her life as a wife, mother, content creator, and teacher, Melonie Graves of The Mellionaire House was looking for a creative outlet. She wanted a simple, affordable project that she could work on alone as well as together with her family. The solution was to start her own garden for herbs and a few vegetables. Assembling the Rustic Elevated Planters was part of the fun; she filled them with Natural & Organic Professional Container Mix then planted family favorites like basil and mint, plus bell peppers for the kids to watch grow.

Refresh with a Rug
Shannon Fox from Fox Hollow Cottage prefers a neutral palette of whites and creams for her major furniture. That way, when she needs a kick of color or texture, it's easy to accessorize with individual accent pieces. A new thick and soft Gingham Plaid Area Rug helped define her seating area and gave her just the pop of pattern she needed to create some contrast. She couldn't resist layering in a little softness on the sofa and added a Tufted Trellis Throw Pillow or two.

Indulge in a Mini Makeover
We all have rooms we'd love to redo from top to bottom, but sometimes all that's possible is some sprucing up. Faced with that challenge, Lory Bernstein of Designthusiasm decided to update a bright corner of her family room with the Fitzgerald Bar Cart. Its warm brushed gold finish has a rich look, and for under $100 the piece offers incredible value.

Tackle a Major Project
On the other hand, sometimes you've got the time, resources, and inclination to completely change up an area of your home. KariAnne Wood of Thistlewood Farms finally got her chance to transform the landing area upstairs into a more functional space with built-in shelves and cabinets. Once her project was complete, she added a little feminine flair in the form of a Trellis Shag Rug with a Tufted Graham Ottoman.

Mark Those Special Moments
For Denise Cooper of Be My Guest with Denise, her family's second story outdoor living space is a favorite gathering spot for morning coffee or sunset snacks. For her wedding anniversary, she wanted to create a romantic escape there to enjoy with her Hubster. She shared some wine and snacks served up from a multi-functional 5-in-1 Cake Dome and a matching Serve Tray with a colorful luster finish.

Pair Vintage Flair with Contemporary Function
When Becky Cunningham of Becky's Farmhouse set out to create a casual outdoor dining area, she wanted to use a favorite flea-market find. The narrow vintage door table was the perfect size for her porch, but she needed seating that would match the rustic, elegant look. With their cross backs and wicker seats, the Camrose Farmhouse Chairs fit the bill beautifully. She set the table with Anda Melamine Dinnerware for a fancy vibe and a little sparkle, and put a fragrant potted lavender plant at each place.
