Minimal props and simple garnishes really let your photography pop on its own. Don't be afraid to edit, edit, and edit some more.
When it comes to food photography, natural light is your best friend. There's no alternative or substitute for it.
When it comes to food styling, my favorite prop is the food itself. Coarse granules of sea salt and pepper, bits of herbs, and thinly sliced onions -- pile these garnishes on, and don't be afraid to get a little messy. These final touches will create beautiful built-in texture.
