Use a straw! Insert a straw in the bottom of a strawberry and push it through the center of the berry. It should pop out the other end, taking the core (and green part) with it!
Core Pears & Apples
Use a melon baller! Slice pears or apples in half, then use a melon baller to scoop out the core and seeds.
Easy DIY Bread Crumbs
Use a box grater! Leave a baguette or Italian loaf out on the counter for a few hours or up to a day. Then, grate it like cheese. Voila!
Slice Dough & Soft Cheeses
Use (unflavored) dental floss! To slice soft cheeses like mozzarella, just position floss above the cheese and push the floss through cheese in a swift, straight motion. To slice dough, lay the dough down horizontally, shimmy the floss underneath, then crisscross the floss and pull tight. You should get a clean cut.
Use a glass! Slice mango in half. Use the side of the glass to cleanly and easily peel the skin right off.
