No-Fail Fish and Seafood Recipes

Step 1: Gather Ingredients

  • 1 pound thick-cut cod loin
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Spices to taste (such as salt, pepper, parsley, and seasoning salt)

Step 2: Prep

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Clean fish and gently pat dry. If frozen, defrost in the refrigerator for 24 hours or on the defrost setting of the microwave.

Step 3: Cook

Melt 2 tablespoons butter and coat both sides of cod. Place in a buttered 7x11 baking dish.

Bake cod in oven for 10 minutes. Remove and top with your desired seasonings.

Place back in oven and bake for about 10 more minutes, or until fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

Step 3: Cool and Serve

Let fish stand for at least 10 minutes to cool. Serve with lemon wedges or lemon juice topping.
