Foodies Confess: I Own an Embarrassing Number of This Kitchen Gadget!

I've interviewed some of my favorite food bloggers about which kitchen accessories they own in excess. What I found out is that my secret (oops, not-so-secret anymore) stashes of jars, vintage silverware, and cast-iron cookware isn't a problem I bear alone. In fact, I learned that most people who are obsessed with food and cooking and spending time in their kitchen, really like to collect kitchen-related stuff. What do you relate to in this list?

1. Glass Jars

One of the most common kitchen accessories foodies hoard, I mean collect, are glass jars -- from old jam jars to antique mason jars and everything in between. Food bloggers Gina from So...Let's Hang Out, Erin from Naturally Ella, Sylvie from Gourmande in the Kitchen, myself, and many more agree.

2. Baking Sheets

When it comes to baking, roasting, and easy sheet-pan meals, you can never have enough baking sheets. Ashlae of Oh, Ladycakes confessed she has upwards of 100!

3. Cast-Iron Cookware

Renee of Will Frolic for Food and Sophie of Whole Hearted Eats have crazy obessions with cast-iron cookware. Really, how could you not with such a hearty, timeless, classic kitchen accessory.

4. Wooden Utensils

McKel of Nutrition Stripped has containers full of wooden spoons, slotted spoons, and spatulas. She told me the reason she loves them: "There's just something so magical about wooden spoons when stirring and cooking in the kitchen," she says.

5. Sugar and Cream Sets

Shelly from Vegetarian 'Ventures has a total obsession with collecting sugar and cream sets. She told me, "There are just so many cute ones that I am constantly coming across that I've just decided to embrace my obsession and buy them all."

6. Vintage Silverware

I'm with Laura of The First Mess: Beautiful vintage silverware is near impossible to pass up. Her favorite place to buy it is garage sales, where she's been known to snag the whole lot.

7. Cake Stands and Dessert Plates

Sarah, the baker behind The Vanilla Bean Blog cannot pass up a beautiful cake stand or dessert plate. And we don't blame her!
