Quick and Easy Pineapple Sundae (Plus: Learn How to Cut a Pineapple!)
Learn how to cut a fresh pineapple to make a pineapple sundae. The addition of yogurt and pistachio nuts make a tropical snack you'll want to return to.
[MUSIC] Did you know it takes almost three years for a pineapple to fully mature? No matter how long it takes, pineapples are still one of my most favorite fruits. And that's why tonight, I'm going to show you how to make a pineapple sundae. Cutting up a pineapple can be a little daunting, but it's actually pretty easy. Start by cutting off half an inch off the top and bottom of the pineapple. Then stand it up and trim off the sides. Try to follow the curve of the pineapple with your knife. If any eyes are left, just use a paring knife to remove them. Next, remove the core. Cut the pineapple in half, then quarters. Now, just stand them up and remove the core from each quarter. Once the core is removed, cut the pineapple into small bites. Spoon the pineapple pieces into a small bowl. Top with two tablespoons of vanilla yogurt and sprinkle with some pistachio nuts. You may not be in the tropics, but with this pineapple sundae, you can at least dream about it. [MUSIC]
