Ingredients

  • 2 cup packed brown sugar

  • cup butter

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 teaspoon vanilla

  • 2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda

  • ½ cup chopped macadamia nuts

  • ½ cup snipped dried figs

  • 3 ounce white baking chocolate with cocoa butter, cut into small chunks

  • 2 ounce white baking chocolate with cocoa butter, melted (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 13x9-inch baking pan. In a medium saucepan cook and stir brown sugar and butter over medium heat until melted and smooth. Cool slightly.

  2. Add eggs, one at a time, to butter mixture, beating with a spoon until combined. Stir in vanilla. Stir in flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Stir in nuts, figs, and 3 ounces white chocolate chunks. Spread in prepared pan.

  3. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool slightly in pan on a wire rack. If desired, drizzle with melted white chocolate. Cool completely. Cut into bars.
