Ingredients

  • 8 ounce dark chocolate or milk chocolate, chopped

  • 2 ounce chocolate-, or vanilla-flavored candy coating (almond bark), chopped (1/3 cup)

  • 1 tablespoon shortening

  • 2 drops edible lavender essential oil or 1/8 tsp. orange extract

  • ½ cup violas

Directions

  1. Line a large baking sheet with heavy foil; grease foil. Set aside.

  2. In a large microwave-safe bowl combine chocolate, candy coating, and shortening. Microwave, uncovered, on 100% power (high) for 11/2 to 2 minutes or until chocolate melts, stirring every 30 seconds. Stir in lavender oil.

  3. Pour mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Spread to 1/4-inch thickness. Sprinkle with violas.

  4. Chill about 30 minutes or until firm. Use foil to lift candy; break into pieces. Store between layers of waxed paper in an airtight container in refrigerator up to 1 week.
