I have been making this recipe for about 25 years. Everyone who eats sweet potatoes love it. It¿s a flavorful change to the usual over the top sweet marshmallow casseroles everyone seems to make. And if I have family coming that is allergic to nuts, I just keep the cashews out and set them in a dish so people can sprinkle on what they want of the m.

LOVE this recipe!  It's so easy to make and everyone, even people who aren't crazy about sweet potatoes, go back for seconds.  Try it!

Have made this for many many years, family loves it! I use less brown sugar and butter, more ginger, and in recent years, mandarin oranges to accomodate a new family member.
