  • In a large skillet, combine chicken broth, preserved lemon, dill, crushed red pepper, and black pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.

  • Add broccoli and butter to skillet. Cover and cook over medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes or until broccoli is tender. If desired, drain. Transfer broccoli mixture to a serving bowl. If desired, garnish with fresh lemon halves. Makes 8 servings.

Preserved lemon can be found in large supermarkets and specialty food stores. Or substitute 2 teaspoons finely shredded lemon peel, 1 teaspoon olive oil, and 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt for the preserved lemon.
