  • In a medium saucepan, cook potatoes, covered, in boiling water for 10 to 15 minutes or until tender. Drain. Mash with a potato masher or beat with an electric mixer on low speed.

  • Beat in sour cream and margarine or butter. If necessary, gradually beat in enough milk to make potatoes smooth and fluffy. If necessary, place potato mixture in saucepan; heat through. Just before serving, stir in the pecans, almonds, or walnuts. If desired, sprinkle with brown sugar. Makes 2 servings.
