In a large covered saucepan cook potatoes in boiling salted water 20 to 25 minutes or until tender. Drain; let cool. Peel potatoes, halving any large potatoes.
In a large skillet combine brown sugar, butter or margarine, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until butter is melted and mixture is thickened and bubbly. Reduce heat. Carefully add the potatoes. Stir gently until potatoes are coated and heated through. Makes 8 side-dish servings.
