Triple Citrus Whiskey Sour
- Start by juicing the citrus fruits using a wooden handheld reamer or a typical citrus juicer. Combine all the juices into one measuring cup then strain to get all the seeds and pulp out of the mix. After creating the juice blend, fill up two cocktail glasses about half way with juice. Then add 1-2 ounces of your favorite whiskey to each glass, stir, and taste a small sample. If the drink is too bitter for your taste, add a sugar cube or 1/2 teaspoon of sugar to each glass to sweeten a bit. The sweetness will depend on the ripeness of the fruit. If you're using very ripe fruits, the juices will be pretty sweet on their own. Stir the cocktail with a spoon, and then add ice cubes. For garnish, slide a lemon wedge and a maraschino cherry onto a toothpick. Mandarin leaves are also a great accent if you buy mandarins with the branches still attached. Makes 2 servings.
