Directions

  1. Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Heat over medium high heat. Add ground beef; cook until brown, using a wooden spoon to break up meat as it cooks.
  2. Coat a 3 1/2- or 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In prepared cooker combine ground beef, beans, the 1 1/2 cups chopped onions, the tomatoes and green chilies, taco seasoning mix, paprika (if desired), sugar, and cumin.
  3. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 5 hours or on high-heat setting for 2 1/2 hours.
  4. Spoon ground beef** mixture into tortillas. Serve with lime wedges and, if desired, sour cream, cilantro, the red onion, and lettuce.

To warm tortillas, preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Stack tortillas and wrap tightly in foil. Heat about 10 minutes or until heated through.
