Place kosher salt on a small plate. Rub rims of eight glasses with one of the lime wedges. Dip rims of glasses in salt to coat; set aside.
In a pitcher, combine triple sec, tequila, lime juice, and sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Chill until ready to serve.
In a blender, combine one 16-ounce package frozen unsweetened strawberries, thawed, and 1 medium banana, sliced. Cover and blend until smooth. If desired, strain to remove seeds.
Add blended fruit to tequila mixture. Pour into salt-rimmed glasses. If desired, garnish with fresh strawberries.
