Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan cook ground beef and onion over medium-high heat until meat is brown. Drain off fat. Add beef broth and water.
  2. Bring to boiling over high heat. Stir in uncooked macaroni; reduce heat to medium-high. Cook, uncovered, for 12 minutes. Stir in undrained tomatoes, corn, green beans, basil, and oregano. Return to boiling; reduce heat to medium-low. Cook, covered, about 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Makes 2 servings.

For 4 Servings:

For 4 servings, use 12 ounces ground beef or uncooked ground turkey; 1/3 cup chopped onion; 1 14-ounce can low-sodium beef broth; 1-1/2 cups water; 2/3 cup dried wagon wheel pasta, 1 14-1/2-ounce can Italian-style stewed tomatoes, undrained; 1 cup loose-pack frozen whole kernel corn; 1 cup loose-pack frozen cut green beans; 1 teaspoon dried basil, crushed; and 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed. Prepare as above, except use a large saucepan (in step 1).
