Directions

  1. Trim fat from meat. Cut meat into six serving-size portions. Sprinkle meat with salt and black pepper. Place meat in a 3 1/2- or 4-quart slow cooker.
  2. In a medium bowl combine tomatoes, tomato paste, and, if desired, hot pepper sauce. Pour over meat in cooker. Top with frozen vegetables.
  3. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 9 to 10 hours or on high-heat setting for 4 1/2 to 5 hours.
  4. If desired, serve over hot cooked pasta.
