Ingredients

  • 10 tablespoon unsalted butter

  • cup packed light brown sugar

  • cup granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 1 egg

  • 1 ¾ cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • ¾ cup semisweet chocolate chunks

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. In a 10-inch oven-going skillet melt butter over medium-low heat; remove skillet from heat. Stir in brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla; cool for 5 minutes.

  2. Whisk egg into mixture in skillet. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt until smooth. Quickly stir in chocolate chunks. Press dough into an even layer in skillet.

  3. Bake for 20 to 22 minutes or until surface is golden brown but center is still soft. Cool in skillet on a wire rack. Cut into wedges.
