Directions

  1. In a charcoal grill, arrange medium-hot coals in one area or on one side of the grill. Test for medium-low heat over the area without coals.
  2. Brush both sides of tuna with 2 tablespoons olive oil and season with pinch salt and pepper. Brush all sides of the red cabbage quarters with 2 tablespoons olive oil and season with pinch of salt and pepper. Place on grill in higher heat area. Turn both tuna and cabbage after 1 to 3 minutes, or until seared and have some color. Remove from grill; cool slightly. Slice tuna and chop cabbage; set aside.
  3. Meanwhile, place corn tortillas on grill in lower heat area and grill about 1 minute per side or until warmed through.

For Slaw:

  1. Peel oranges. Segment over a large bowl to catch the juices. Coarsely chop orange segments; set aside. Add 2 tablespoons olive oil, rice vinegar, crushed red pepper, salt, and pepper to the orange juice in the bowl. Stir in chopped cabbage and orange sections. Toss to coat.
  2. To assemble tacos, spread Basil Aioli on corn tortillas, top with sliced tuna, cabbage slaw, avocado, tomato, and green onions. Enjoy!!
  3. In a small bowl combine 1/2 cup mayonnaise, the finely shredded peel and juice of 1 lemon, 3 tablespoons snipped fresh basil, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/8 teaspoon black pepper.
