Spicy Black Bean Salsa

Spice up your usual salsa recipe with this variation that mixes in black beans and corn! Finely chopped jalapeno peppers give this salsa its kick.

about 1-1/2 cups sauce


  • 1 15 ounce can black beans, rinsed and drained

  • ½ cup frozen whole kernel corn, cooked and drained

  • 1 small tomato, chopped

  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped

  • 2 tablespoon lime juice

  • 2 tablespoon snipped fresh cilantro

  • Tomato wedges (optional)


  1. In medium bowl stir together beans, corn, chopped tomato, jalapeno pepper, lime juice, and cilantro. Store in refrigerator up to 24 hours. If desired, garnish with tomato wedges. Makes about 1-1/2 cups sauce.
