Old-Fashioned Rice Pudding
Directions
- Lightly coat the inside of a 3 1/2- or 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray; set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked rice, evaporated milk, milk, sugar, and the water. Stir in raisins, butter, vanilla, and cinnamon. Transfer mixture to the prepared cooker.
- Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 2 to 3 hours. Stir gently before serving.

I followed the recipe exactly as well. It only took me 1 1/2 hours to have it cooked to pudding consistency, so watch it carefully the first time or two you try it, until you get a feel for it.
Tasted it, and decided it wasn't sweet enough. I doubled the sugar and it turned out very well. Entire family was pleased!

Followed the recipe exactly. It was an epic fail!!! Turned out very dry and I tried to salvage toward the end of cooking time by adding more liquid, all to no avail. It was as solid as cement. Had to practically chip the remains out of my crock pot (and yes, I cooked it on low; pre-cooked the rice--just as the recipe stated.) I love rice pudding, but this recipe is a disaster in waiting. Think I will use it to fill the mole holes in my yard!
