12 crab cakes + 3/4 cup sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

  • ¾ cup finely crushed pretzels

  • 2 tablespoon mayonnaise

  • 5 teaspoon Dijon-style mustard

  • ½ teaspoon Old Bay seasoning

  • 1 pound lump crab meat, flaked

  • Nonstick cooking spray

  • 2 tablespoon butter, melted

  • ¾ cup mayonnaise

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl combine egg, 1/2 cup of the pretzels, 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise, 1 tsp. of the mustard, and the Old Bay seasoning. Stir in crab meat. Shape mixture into twelve 1/2-inch-thick patties, using 1/4 cup mixture for each patty. Place remaining 1/4 cup pretzels in a shallow dish. Dip patties into pretzels, turning to coat.

  2. Coat air-fryer basket with cooking spray. Preheat air fryer at 400°F. Working in batches, arrange crab cakes in a single layer in prepared basket. Drizzle with some of the melted butter. Cook 8 minutes or until golden and heated through (160°F), turning once. Transfer crab cakes to a plate; keep warm.

  3. For sauce, in a small bowl combine 3/4 cup mayonnaise and remaining 4 tsp. mustard. Serve crab cakes with sauce.
