  • In a 6-quart electric or stovetop pressure cooker combine 6 cups water and the next nine ingredients (through salt). Lock the lid in place. Set electric cooker on high pressure to cook 14 minutes. For stovetop cooker, bring up to pressure over medium-high heat according to manufacturers directions. Cook 14 minutes and remove from heat.

  • For electric and stove-top models, quickly release the pressure. Open lid carefully. Top with almonds and serve with milk and fresh fruit.
