Directions

  1. Cook spinach according to package directions. Drain, squeezing out excess liquid. In a medium bowl beat eggs with a fork. Stir in spinach, 1/4 cup of the pizza sauce, the 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, the basil, and garlic powder.
  2. Preheat oven to 450 degree F. Grease baking sheet; set aside. Unroll refrigerated pizza dough. On a lightly floured surface, press dough into a 15x10-inch rectangle. Cut into quarters. Divide mozzarella cheese among pizza dough quarters, sprinkling onto one half of each quarter. Spoon spinach mixture evenly over cheese. Fold dough over mixture. Seal edges. Place on prepared baking sheet. Brush with oil. Sprinkle with the 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese. Cut small slits in top of each calzone.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden. In a small saucepan cook and stir remaining pizza sauce until heated through. Serve warmed pizza sauce with calzones. Makes 4 servings.
