Trim excess fat from chop. Brush chop with milk. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
In a small bowl combine bread crumbs, almonds, 1 teaspoon of the melted margarine or butter, and paprika. Place chop in a shallow baking dish. Top with almond mixture. Bake, covered, in a 375 degree F oven for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for 10 to 15 minutes more or until an instant read thermometer registers 160 degrees .
Meanwhile, place squash in an 8- or 10-ounce baking dish. Top with brown sugar, thyme, and lemon peel. Drizzle with remaining melted margarine. Place in a 375 degree F oven with the chop. Bake, covered, for 10 minutes. Stir well; cover and bake for 5 to 10 minutes more or until tender. Makes 1 serving.
