Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Generously grease and flour a 10-inch fluted tube pan; set pan aside. In a large mixing bowl stir together flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  2. In medium bowl combine eggs, milk, oil, butter, poppy seeds, vanilla, almond extract, and butter flavoring. Add egg mixture all at once to flour mixture. Beat with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 2 minutes. Spoon batter into prepared pan; spread evenly.
  3. Bake about 65 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Remove cake from pan. Brush Orange Glaze generously over top and sides of cake. Cool thoroughly on wire rack.

  1. In a small saucepan combine sugar and orange juice. Heat and stir just until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat. Stir in almond extract and vanilla.
