In a large skillet cook ground beef and sausage over medium heat until brown. Drain off fat.
Transfer meat mixture to a 3-1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker. Stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, mushrooms, onion, sweet pepper, wine, water, olives, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, chili powder, black pepper, and garlic.
Cover; cook on low-heat setting for 9 to 10 hours or on high-heat setting for 4-1/2 to 5 hours.
Serve meat mixture over hot cooked spaghetti. If desired, sprinkle each serving with Parmesan cheese. Makes 8 servings.
