Padma's Party Punch

Native to Indonesia, kaffir lime leaves are also called makrut leaves. They add a flavor similar to limes, only stronger and more fragrant. Look for them in Asian markets.

Padma's Party Punch

Directions

  1. In a large serving or punch bowl mix grapefruit juice, tangerine juice, vodka, jalapeno juice, lime juice, and kaffir lime leaves. Stir together until combined; stir in soda. Garnish glasses with orchids.

Ice Ring:

In the bottom of a ring mold, place edible flowers, kaffir lime leaves, sliced fruit, and/or fresh mint leaves. Fill with just enough water, club soda or Fresca soda to cover the mixture. Freeze several hours or until firm. Add additional water or soda to almost fill the mold. Freeze for several hours more or until firm. To unmold, dip the bottom of the pan in warm water for a few seconds to loosen the ice ring. Invert over a large plate, tapping on bottom of pan to release the ice ring. Transfer ice ring to the punch bowl.
