Original Pizza Margherita


Fresh grape tomatoes and rich mozzarella cheese are a perfect pairing in this margherita pizza, which makes an easy and delicious dinner recipe.

  • Nonstick cooking spray

  • 1 11 ounce pkg. refrigerated thin-crust pizza dough

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 cup grape tomatoes, halved

  • 8 ounce small fresh mozzarella cheese balls, sliced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ cup fresh basil leaves

  • Coarse ground black pepper (optional)


  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Coat a 15x10-inch baking pan with cooking spray. Unroll pizza dough in the prepared pan. Press onto the bottom and slightly up the sides of the pan. Brush with oil. Bake 7 minutes.

  2. Top with tomatoes, cheese, and garlic. Bake 8 to 10 minutes more or until crust is golden brown. Tear or snip large basil leaves. Sprinkle pizza with basil and, if desired, black pepper.
