  • Cut meat into six portions. In a 3 1/2- or 4-quart slow cooker combine meat and sliced onions. In a bowl combine the next six ingredients (through garlic). Pour over meat. Sprinkle with white portions of the green onions.

  • Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours. Remove meat, reserving cooking liquid. Slice meat across the grain or coarsely shred; return to cooker. Serve over rice and sprinkle with green portions of the green onions.


Try serving over cooked brown rice, quinoa, farro, polenta, mashed potatoes, pasta, or couscous.
