Mint Manhattan

Directions

  1. In a cocktail shaker combine bourbon, Mint Simple Syrup, sweet vermouth, bitters, and the crushed mint leaves. Add 1/2 cup ice cubes; cover and shake until very cold. Strain into a chilled glass filled with additional ice cubes. Garnish with the mint leaves and/or a cherry.

  1. In a small bowl pour boiling water over sugar; stir until sugar dissolves. Stir in mint leaves. Cover and chill for at least 4 hours. Strain mixture through sieve. Discard mint leaves.
