When you can get garden-fresh tomatoes, roast them on the vine for dramatic presentation. To serve, smash them over warm crusty bread.

Ingredients

  • 4 cup assorted tiny tomatoes

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 teaspoon chili powder

  • ½ teaspoon sugar

  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt

  • Crusty bread

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Place tomatoes in a shallow baking dish. Drizzle with oil. Stir to coat. Sprinkle with chili powder, sugar, and salt. Roast, uncovered, 12 to 15 minutes, or until skins just start to burst, gently stirring once halfway through roasting time. Serve warm with crusty bread.
