Directions

  1. In a 4-quart pot or Dutch oven cook sausage until brown; drain off fat. Stir in the tomato sauce, undrained tomatoes, mushrooms, water, clam juice, garlic, parsley, and basil. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes, adding clams the last 5 minutes of cooking. Makes 6 servings.
