Pears add a sweet fruity note to this favorite ham and cheese breakfast casserole.




  • In an 8x8x2-inch baking dish layer bread, ham, chopped pears, and shredded cheese.

  • Combine eggs, milk, and nutmeg, and pour evenly into dish. Cover and chill 4 to 24 hours.

  • Bake, uncovered, in a 325 degree F oven about 45 minutes or until center is just set and top is golden. Cool 10 minutes before cutting into squares. Garnish with additional pear slices, if desired. Makes 4 servings.
