In an 4- to 6-quart Dutch oven cook the first five ingredients (through garlic) over medium until beef is browned. Drain off fat. Spoon pizza sauce over beef mixture. Top with pepperoni and half of the cheese. Top with potato nuggets. Bake, uncovered, 30 to 35 minutes or until potatoes are browned, sprinkling with the remaining cheese and a few extra pepperoni slices the last 10 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
