Maple-Rosemary Mixed Nuts
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a shallow baking pan with foil. Spread nuts in an even layer in pan. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly toasted.Advertisement
Meanwhile, stir together maple syrup, oil, herbs, garlic, and if desired, cayenne. Remove nuts from oven. Pour syrup mixture over; toss well. Bake 10 minutes more, stirring once.
Sprinkle with sea salt; stir. Cool completely in pan on a wire rack. Store covered at room temperature up to 5 days. If desired, in a skillet warm over medium-low to serve. Serves 16.
Or toast hazelnuts with skin in a 350°F oven for 7 minutes. Wrap in a kitchen towel and rub to remove skins.
