Mango-Chili Ice Pops

Directions

  1. In a food processor combine 3 cups of the mango, the sugar, lime peel, lime juice, and chili powder. Cover and process until smooth. Stir in the remaining 1 cup mango.
  2. Divide mango mixture among 16 (2-ounce) frozen pop molds.** Add sticks; cover and freeze for 3 to 24 hours or until firm. To serve, unmold pops.

From the Test Kitchen

**

If frozen pop molds are unavailable, use 16 (3-ounce) wax-lined paper cups instead. Divide mango mixture among cups; cover each with a piece of foil. Using a small sharp knife, make a slit in each piece of foil. Insert a flat wooden craft stick into each slit. Freeze for 4 to 24 hours or until firm. To serve, peel off each paper cup.

*

If using frozen mango, use the 1/2 cup sugar.
