Gradually add half of the powdered sugar. Add milk and salt. Beat in remaining powdered sugar. Tint to a honey color with yellow gel food coloring. Place a cake layer on a cake stand or platter. Add 1/2 cup frosting to the top of the cake layer and spread until smooth. Stack and repeat with remaining cake layers. Use remaining frosting to spread over the top and sides of cake. Lightly coat bubble wrap with nonstick cooking spray. Gently press the bubbled-side of the 8 1/2-inch round piece of bubble wrap into the top of the cake and the long piece of bubble wrap around the cake, making sure to gently press into the frosting.
