Ingredients

  • 1 - 1 ½ pound turnips, peeled and cut into 1 1/4-inch pieces

  • 3 tablespoon honey

  • 2 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • teaspoon cracked black pepper

  • Snipped fresh thyme

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Preheat an ungreased 15x10-inch baking pan in oven 5 minutes. Spread turnips in the hot pan. Drizzle with honey and melted butter; sprinkle with salt.

  2. Bake, uncovered, 35 to 40 minutes or until turnips are tender, stirring once. Transfer to a serving dish. Sprinkle with pepper and thyme. If desired, drizzle with additional honey.
