Directions

  1. Rinse and drain lentils. In a 2-quart saucepan bring the water, the reserved chicken broth, and salt just to boiling; stir in lentils. Simmer lentils, covered, in the salt water mixture for 8 to 10 minutes or until soft. Drain any excess liquid. Makes 3 cups.
