Directions

  1. In a 1-quart saucepan bring water to boiling. Slowly stir in grits. Gradually stir about 1 cup hot mixture into eggs. Return to saucepan. Remove from heat.
  2. Stir cheese, milk, and pepper into grits. Spoon into a 1-quart casserole. Bake in a 350 degree F oven about 50 minutes or until puffed and a knife inserted in center comes out clean. Serves 4 to 6.
