Learn about BHG's Editorial Process Published on January 13, 2021 Print Rate It Share Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: Adam Albright Prep Time: 25 mins Total Time: 25 mins Servings: 12 Yield: 12 bars Jump to Nutrition Facts Ingredients ⅓ cup butter 2 10 ounce pkg. tiny marshmallows 2 13 ounce jars marshmallow creme 1 tablespoon clear vanilla ½ teaspoon salt 15 cup crisp rice cereal 1 cup jimmies or 1/2 cup colored sugar Purchased colored frosting Directions Line a 13x9-inch baking pan with foil, extending foil over edges. Lightly butter foil. In a 6- to 8-qt. heavy Dutch oven melt 1/3 cup butter over low heat. Stir in marshmallows. Cook and stir until melted and smooth. Stir in marshmallow creme, vanilla, and salt. Remove from heat. Remove 1 cup of the marshmallow mixture; set aside. Add cereal to remaining marshmallow mixture in Dutch oven, stirring gently to coat. Transfer cereal mixture to prepared pan. Using a buttered spatula or buttered waxed paper, press mixture firmly into pan. Spread 1 cup reserved marshmallow mixture over top and sprinkle with jimmies. Top with a sheet of waxed paper and a sheet of foil. Weight mixture down by placing a second 13x9-inch pan on top of foil and adding several unopened cans of food to top pan. Let stand overnight. Remove pan, foil, and waxed paper. Using edges of foil liner, lift out uncut bars. Using a buttered long knife, cut into bars. Decorate with frosting to look like gifts. To Store Wrap bars individually in plastic wrap and place in an airtight container. Store at room temperature up to 1 week.
