  • In a large saucepan combine all ingredients. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes. Strain; discard cloves and cardamom. If desired, decorate bowl by wetting rim and brushing with gold luster dust. Transfer punch to bowl. If desired, garnish with additional cinnamon sticks and apple slices.



If desired, moisten the edge of the punch bowl with water or juice. Spread gold decorating sugar in a large shallow dish. Dip the edge of the punch bowl in the sugar to coat.
