French-Fried Onion Dip

Directions

  1. In a 1 1/2- or 2-quart slow cooker combine the first six ingredients (through flour). Reserve 2 tablespoons of the French-fried onions for topping. Stir the remaining onions into cheese mixture.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours or on high for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Before serving, whisk until smooth, adding milk if needed to reach desired consistency.
  3. Serve immediately or keep warm, covered, on warm or low up to 2 hours. Sprinkle with the reserved French-fried onions and additional green onions. Serve with bread slices.
