Prepare as directed, except substitute 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly grated nutmeg for ground ginger and cinnamon. Substitute 3/4 cup pure maple syrup, 1/4 cup dark-color corn syrup, and 1 teaspoon maple flavoring for 1 cup molasses.
