Easy Taco Salad

Directions

  1. Prepare seasoned beef product according to package directions. Divide romaine lettuce between two plates or large salad bowls. Top with heated seasoned beef. Top with tomatoes, beans, cheese, and chips. Serve with sour cream and salsa.

First tasted this dish in Toronto Canada where I went to a casual dinner party hosted by a transplanted Texan. I loved this dish and asked for the recipe which she was pleased to give me. I had always thought this was her recipe, she was a very good cook. Imagine my surprise on finding the recipe in a BH & G cookbook, an old one, just this summer! Doesn't matter who dreamt it up, it is a wonderful dish as is but easily lends itself to enhancements!
