Learn about BHG's Editorial Process Published on January 21, 2017 Print Rate It Share Share Tweet Pin Email Total Time: 30 mins Servings: 12 Ingredients 12 bunny-shape marshmallow candy 12 paper straws ½ cup chocolate-flavor or desired color candy coating wafers ½ cup white or desired color candy coating wafers 4 teaspoon shortening, divded Assorted sprinkles and/or toasted shredded coconut 12 tiny marshmallows Directions Using a paring knife, make a small slit in the bottom of each bunny. Insert straw. In a small bowl, combine chocolate-flavor candy coating wafers and 2 teaspoons shortening. Microwave on 100% power (high) for 1 1/2- to 2 minutes until smooth, stirring every 30 seconds. Repeat with white-color candy coating wafers and remaining shortening. Hold a bunny via straw over a bowl of melted candy coating. Spoon coating over bunny on all sides, allowing excess to drip off. Place coated bunny on a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Decorate with sprinkles or coconut, if desired. Place a tiny marshmallow near the bottom of the bunny for a tail, using the melted candy coating as glue, if needed.
