Ingredients

  • 12 bunny-shape marshmallow candy

  • 12 paper straws

  • ½ cup chocolate-flavor or desired color candy coating wafers

  • ½ cup white or desired color candy coating wafers

  • 4 teaspoon shortening, divded

  • Assorted sprinkles and/or toasted shredded coconut

  • 12 tiny marshmallows

Directions

  1. Using a paring knife, make a small slit in the bottom of each bunny. Insert straw.

  2. In a small bowl, combine chocolate-flavor candy coating wafers and 2 teaspoons shortening. Microwave on 100% power (high) for 1 1/2- to 2 minutes until smooth, stirring every 30 seconds. Repeat with white-color candy coating wafers and remaining shortening. Hold a bunny via straw over a bowl of melted candy coating. Spoon coating over bunny on all sides, allowing excess to drip off. Place coated bunny on a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Decorate with sprinkles or coconut, if desired. Place a tiny marshmallow near the bottom of the bunny for a tail, using the melted candy coating as glue, if needed. Repeat with remaining bunnies, decorating as desired. Chill until set.
