Double-Almond Rounds

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl combine 1/3 cup almond paste made with glucose (half of a 7-ounce tube) and 1/4 cup powdered sugar; add one spoonful of frosting from a 16-ounce can vanilla frosting. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed until combined. Add the remainder of the frosting from the 16-ounce can. Beat until combined. Spread frosting mixture on top of 24 large soft sugar cookies. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted.
